Ann's Shortbread

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb butter, softened
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 large egg

Recipe

  • 1 cut butter into flour until it is as coarse sand.
  • 2 mix everything together by hand, using your fingers til it is soft and nice.
  • 3 roll or pat to 1/2" thick, and cut with cutter.
  • 4 prick several times with fork tines.
  • 5 bake 300° for 20-30 minutes, until just about browning.
