Brownie-walnut Pie

Ingredients

- 1 pie crust (refrigerated works fine)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, cut up
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 transfer pie to pie plate, trim crust to 1/2 inch beyond the pie plate. fold under extra pastry, crimp edges, set aside.
- 3 for filling: in heavy saucepan melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring frequently. cool for 20 minutes.
- 4 in a large bowl combine eggs, sugar, flour, and vanilla. stir in chocolate mixture and nuts. pour into pastry crust.
- 5 bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. transfer to wire rack and cool for 1 hour before cutting.
