Brownies

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 1 1/2 lbs semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f
  • 2 grease a 9 x 13 inch pan and then line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.
  • 3 melt the chocolate and butter in a stainless steel bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water. remove from heat and set aside.
  • 4 meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk together the eggs and sugar.
  • 5 fold in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract.
  • 6 in a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt and then fold into the chocolate and sugar mixture until well combined.
  • 7 pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 45 - 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • 8 remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
