Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lbs semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f
- 2 grease a 9 x 13 inch pan and then line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.
- 3 melt the chocolate and butter in a stainless steel bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water. remove from heat and set aside.
- 4 meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk together the eggs and sugar.
- 5 fold in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract.
- 6 in a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt and then fold into the chocolate and sugar mixture until well combined.
- 7 pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 45 - 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 8 remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
