Apple Crumble With Tea Masala Spices

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 lbs apples, peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup whole grain flour
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon tea masala spices, to taste (substitute all spices or ras el hanout )

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375ºf/190°c.
  • 2 grease bottom and sides 10 inch square pan with butter or margarine.
  • 3 distribute apples in the mold.
  • 4 in bowl combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • 5 with your hands form crumbles. sprinkle the crumbles over apples.
  • 6 bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
  • 7 serve warm with ice cream or custard.
  • 8 note: you can reduce the amount of butter to ¼ of cup and add 2 tablespoons of light cream cheese.
