Brownie Mounds

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 3 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 in a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 2 add corn syrup and egg.
  • 3 beat well.
  • 4 stir in chocolate and vanilla.
  • 5 combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
  • 6 add to chocolate mixture.
  • 7 beat well.
  • 8 stir in nuts.
  • 9 drop by tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
  • 10 bake at 350 degrees, for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm.
  • 11 remove to wire racks to cool completely.
