Brownie Mounds

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1 egg
- 3 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts or 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Recipe
- 1 in a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- 2 add corn syrup and egg.
- 3 beat well.
- 4 stir in chocolate and vanilla.
- 5 combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
- 6 add to chocolate mixture.
- 7 beat well.
- 8 stir in nuts.
- 9 drop by tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
- 10 bake at 350 degrees, for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm.
- 11 remove to wire racks to cool completely.
