Cacerola De Tripas - Casserole Of Tripe

Total Time: 1 hr 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs honeycomb tripe, well washed in cold water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 onions, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon green bell pepper, minced
  • 1 carrot, peeled and minced
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 300f and spray a casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • 2 dry tripe and cut into 2 inch strips.
  • 3 melt butter, add onions and bell pepper; cook until soft.
  • 4 add tripe and cook for five minutes.
  • 5 pour into prepared casserole, add carrot and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 6 mix flour and water together until smooth; pour over all.
  • 7 bake for 90 minutes.
  • 8 add worcestershire sauce and serve.
