Black Walnut Chocolate Kiss Brownies

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup hammons black walnut
  • 1 cup hershey semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup hersheys semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • black walnut ice cream (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 grease and flour a 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan.
  • 3 in a large mixing bowl, combine butter, cocoa, sugar, eggs and vanilla; blend well.
  • 4 stir together flour, salt and baking powder.
  • 5 stir into cocoa mixture until smooth.
  • 6 add black walnuts and mini kisses.
  • 7 spread evenly in the prepared pan and bake 25 minutes on middle oven rack.
  • 8 cool before cutting.
  • 9 optional: individually warm cut brownies slightly before serving.
  • 10 makes 3 to 5 dozen.
  • 11 topping: melt mini kisses over low heat, stirring continually.
  • 12 stir in milk.
  • 13 drizzle over warm brownies just before serving.
  • 14 if desired, top with black walnut ice cream.
