Butter Roast Chicken

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (2 -3 lb) chicken pieces
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place chicken in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in.x 2-in. baking pan.
  • 2 combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • 3 remove from the heat and pour over chicken.
  • 4 bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees f for 1-1/2 hours or until juices run clear, basting occasionally.
