Baked Spinach & Cheese

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb fresh spinach
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated (or your choice)
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Recipe

  • 1 coarsely chop the spinach.
  • 2 melt the butter over medium heat & when bubbly add onion& garlic.
  • 3 saute for 2 minutes.
  • 4 add spinach, salt & pepper.
  • 5 cover & reduce heat to low steam for 3-4 minutes.
  • 6 put half of the cheese into an 8" greased casserole dish.
  • 7 add spinach, & nutmeg.
  • 8 cover with remaining cheese.
  • 9 bake in 350f for apprx 20 minutes or until cheese is browned.
