Banana Sour Cream Loaf

Total Time: 1 hr 55 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups bananas, mashed
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or 1 cup chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 blend butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. add eggs and bananas. beat until well blended.
  • 2 sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in another bowl. add alternately with sour cream to banana mixture, stirring just to blend. stir in nuts.
  • 3 spoon into a 9"x5" loaf pan, greased and floured on bottom only. bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until tester comes out clean.
  • 4 let stand in pan on a wire rack for 20 minutes. remove from pan and cool.
