Banana Sour Cream-walnut Loaf

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
  • 2 3/4 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  • 2 beat in eggs and bananas.
  • 3 sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. add to creamed mixture alternating with sour cream, stirring well after each addition.
  • 4 fold in walnuts.
  • 5 pour into greased and floured 5x9-inch loaf pan.
  • 6 bake at 350 for 1 1/4 hours or until loaf tests done.
  • 7 cool in pan for 20 minutes.
  • 8 remove to wire rack to cool completely.
  • 9 store tightly wrapped in refrigerator.
