Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Recipe

  • 1 whisk brown sugar and butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat until it melts.
  • 2 whisk in heavy cream.
  • 3 stir constantly until sugar dissolves and sauce is smooth, about 3 minutes.
  • 4 remove from the heat and cool.
  • 5 sauce can be stored in the refrigerator until ready to use.
