Cheese Popovers

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 6 tablespoons parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 425 degrees f. grease 12 small remaekins or popover cups.
  • 2 with an electric mixer, beat the eggs until well blended. beat in the milk and melted butter.
  • 3 sift together the flour, salt, and paprika, then beat into the egg mixture. add the cheese and stir.
  • 4 fill the prepared cups half-full and bake until golden, 25-30 minutes. do not open the oven door during baking or the popovers may fall. for dry popovers, pierce each one with a knife after the 30 minutes backing time and bake for 5 minutes more.
