Bess's Best Butter Beans

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup low-fat yogurt or 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 dash salt (to taste)
- 4 (15 ounce) cans broad beans or 4 (15 ounce) cans butter beans, drained
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 mix together all ingredients except beans, then combine with beans and pour into buttered 2 quart casserole.
- 3 cover and bake 30 minutes. uncover and bake another 30 minutes, or until liquid begins to cook away but not until dry.
- 4 note: this recipe was designed to feed a crowd. if you would like to cut it in half please reduce cooking time.
