Broccoli With Onions And Pine Nuts

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 4 cups broccoli, chopped
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons dry wine
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 steam broccoli and set aside.
  • 2 sauté onions in butter and oil.
  • 3 add broccoli, then pine nuts and wine.
  • 4 add lemon juice a bit at a time.
  • 5 season with salt and pepper.
  • 6 cover and simmer until liquid is absorbed.
