Brown Rice Pilaf

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 55 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/4 cups brown rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 3 cups chicken broth, divided
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion
  • 1 tablespoon dried sweet pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a skillet, add rice and crushed garlic and saute until golden brown. add 1 cup of chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  • 2 combine 2 cups broth, bouillon, sweet peppers, cumin in a sauce pan. add rice,bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer,cover an cook for 50 to 55 minutes
  • 3 remove from heat, let stand 5 mins and fluff.
