Fast Creamy Tomato Penne


  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (16 ounce) package penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 large white onion, chopped
  • 1/2 large green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream


    Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins Ready Time: 30 mins

  • bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • melt butter in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. saute onion and bell pepper until soft, about 5 minutes. add ground lamb, and cook until evenly brown. drain excess fat.
  • in a large pot, heat spaghetti sauce until bubbling. stir in lamb mixture, pasta and sour cream. cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.
