Brussels Sprouts With Fried Onions And Pancetta

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 kg brussels sprout, peeled and steamed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 200 g pancetta, finely sliced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • sea salt
  • cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fried onions (cooked gently in oil to carmelise)

Recipe

  • 1 heat the olive oil in a large frying pan.
  • 2 add the pancetta and fry for 2 minutes until just becoming crisp.
  • 3 toss in the sprouts, then the lemon juice.
  • 4 season well.
  • 5 cook for 2 minutes until heated through.
  • 6 serve topped with fried onions.
