Carrots With Marsala

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 lb carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup marsala wine

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a medium saucepan, and add the carrots.
  • 2 stir well to cover with the butter.
  • 3 add the sugar and salt, and mix well.
  • 4 stir in the marsala, and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  • 5 pour enough water to barely cover the carrots.
  • 6 cover the pan and cook over low to moderate heat until the carrots are tender.
  • 7 remove the cover, and cook until the liquids reduce almost completely.
  • 8 serve hot.
