Carrots With Marsala

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 lb carrot, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup marsala wine
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a medium saucepan, and add the carrots.
- 2 stir well to cover with the butter.
- 3 add the sugar and salt, and mix well.
- 4 stir in the marsala, and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
- 5 pour enough water to barely cover the carrots.
- 6 cover the pan and cook over low to moderate heat until the carrots are tender.
- 7 remove the cover, and cook until the liquids reduce almost completely.
- 8 serve hot.
