Bourbon Pecan Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons nonfat milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 combine sugar and 1/3 cup water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • 2 cook 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly.
  • 3 stir in pecans, milk, butter, bourbon, and vanilla extract.
  • 4 reduce heat, and cook 3 minutes or until mixture is thick and bubbly.
