Blueberry Chardonnay Jam

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 5 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups chardonnay wine
  • 1 (1 3/4 ounce) box regular powdered fruit pectin
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 5 1/2 cups sugar

Recipe

  • 1 put berries in 6 quart heavy pot. coarsely crush berries. stir in all ingredients except sugar.
  • 2 bring to full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly. add sugar.
  • 3 return to full rolling boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • 4 remove from heat, skim off foam with metal spoon.
  • 5 ladle hot jam into hot, sterilized 1/2 pint canning jars, leaving 1/4 headroom. wipe jar rims. add lids.process in boiling water canner for 5 minutes. start timing when water returns to boil.
