Blueberry Chardonnay Jam

Ingredients

- 5 cups fresh blueberries 
- 2 cups chardonnay wine 
- 1 (1 3/4 ounce) box regular powdered fruit pectin 
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice 
- 1 tablespoon butter 
- 5 1/2 cups sugar 
Recipe
- 1 put berries in 6 quart heavy pot. coarsely crush berries. stir in all ingredients except sugar. 
- 2 bring to full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly. add sugar. 
- 3 return to full rolling boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. 
- 4 remove from heat, skim off foam with metal spoon. 
- 5 ladle hot jam into hot, sterilized 1/2 pint canning jars, leaving 1/4 headroom. wipe jar rims. add lids.process in boiling water canner for 5 minutes. start timing when water returns to boil.
