Ingredients

- 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 1/2 lb bacon, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (, 2 ounces)
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 spray 13 x 9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- 3 separate biscuit dough and arrange in rectangle on lightly floured surface.
- 4 roll into 14x 10- inch rectangle.
- 5 place in prepared dish; pat edges up sides of dish.
- 6 bake 15 minutes.
- 7 remove from oven and set aside.
- 8 meanwhile, place bacon in single layer in large skillet; cook over medium heat until crisp.
- 9 remove from skillet; drain on paper towels.
- 10 crumble and set aside.
- 11 melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat.
- 12 stir in flour, salt and black pepper until smooth.
- 13 gradually stir in milk; cook and stir until thickened.
- 14 stir in cheese until melted.
- 15 spread sauce evenly over baked crust.
- 16 arrange bacon, green onions and bell pepper over sauce.
- 17 bake, uncovered, 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
