Bourbon Nut Bread

Ingredients
- 8 eggs, separated
- 1 lb butter
- 1/3 cup bourbon
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Recipe
- 1 whip egg whites until stiff. add 1 cup sugar: set aside. cream butter and rest of sugar until light yellow. add egg yolks one at a time. alternately add flour, bourbon, vanilla and almond extracts. beat well. stir in nuts. fold in egg whites until smooth. divide batter into 3 greased loaf pans. bake at 325 for 1 - 1 1/2 hours until done. freezes well.
