Ingredients

- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder, heaping
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in cast iron skillet.
- 2 combine all dry ingredients.
- 3 beat in egg and buttermilk.
- 4 fold in melted butter from skillet.
- 5 pour into skillet and bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.
