Barbecued Chicken From The Oven

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (2 1/2-3 lb) broiler-fryer chickens, cut up
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 place butter or margarine in 13 x 9 pan and set in oven only long enough for butter or margarine to melt. watch carefully so you don't burn it! it won't take long to melt.
- 3 mix the flour, paprika, salt and pepper well in zip-type plastic bag. shake chicken to coat in the mixture.
- 4 place chicken skin side down in pan and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
- 5 mix ketchup, onion, water, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, salt, chili powder and pepper. combine well.
- 6 remove chicken from oven and turn the pieces over. brush or spoon sauce on top of meat and bake 30 minutes more.
- 7 enjoy!
