Beth's Egg Sausate Souffle Casserole

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs sausage
  • 1/2 lb cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups french bread
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • green onion (1-2 green onions, just the green part)

Recipe

  • 1 brown and crumble sausage.
  • 2 spread into buttered 9x13 dish.
  • 3 sprinkle on grated cheese.
  • 4 spread cubed bread on top.
  • 5 pour melted 3 t melted butter over bread.
  • 6 mix flour and dry mustard and sprinkle on top of butter soaked bread.
  • 7 beat eggs, milk, chopped green onions and pour over other ingredients.
  • 8 allow to sit overnight.
  • 9 best to rest 30 minutes or up to an hour before baking the next morning.
  • 10 brush with an additional 2t melted butter.
  • 11 bake at 350 degrees uncovered for one hour.
