Can't Fail Fudge

Ingredients
- Servings: 10
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 12 large marshmallows (or 1 jar marsh. creme)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (i like to put 1/2c semi-sweet, 1/2 c chocolate)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 mix first 3 ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat.
- 2 bring to a boil stirring entire time. boil until candy thermometer hits 234 degrees (or exactly 5 minutes boiling), stirring entire time.
- 3 remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. stir until chocolate and marshmallows are dissolved.
- 4 pour in buttered 8x8 pan.
- 5 chill 30 minutes, cut with buttered knife.
- 6 chill again until set.
