Can't Fail Fudge

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 12 large marshmallows (or 1 jar marsh. creme)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (i like to put 1/2c semi-sweet, 1/2 c chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 mix first 3 ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat.
  • 2 bring to a boil stirring entire time. boil until candy thermometer hits 234 degrees (or exactly 5 minutes boiling), stirring entire time.
  • 3 remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. stir until chocolate and marshmallows are dissolved.
  • 4 pour in buttered 8x8 pan.
  • 5 chill 30 minutes, cut with buttered knife.
  • 6 chill again until set.
