Carrots In Orange-basil Butter

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 medium carrot (carrot should be cut into julienne strips.)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon butter or 1 teaspoon margarine
  • 1 pinch orange rind (orange peel should be finely shredded.)
  • 1 pinch dried basil, crushed
  • parsley, snipped (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 place the carrot strips in a 10-ounce casserole.
  • 2 sprinkle with water.
  • 3 micro-cook, covered, on 100% power for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or just till the carrot strips are crisp-tender.
  • 4 let stand, covered, while preparing butter mixture.
