Blueberry Crumble Pie

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 1/2 cups fresh blueberries or 4 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine

Recipe

  • 1 place blueberries in a large mixing bowl. combine sugar and flour; toss into blueberries. add sour cream and stir to blend well. pour mixture into unbaked pie shell.
  • 2 topping: in another bowl, combine brown sugar and flour. cut in butter until crumbly; sprinkle evenly over blueberries. bake at 450f for 15 minutes. reduce heat to 350f and continue to bake for 50-60 minutes, or until it just begins to spill over.
  • 3 note: baking may take a little longer with late season berries that have a tougher skin - the pie is great served warm but best cold!
