Brown Sugar Pie

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 sour cream pie crust, rolled out to fit 9 inch pie dish (in my recipes)
  • 2 cups firmly-packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 4 eggs, room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted and cooled

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 2 prick pie shell with fork.
  • 3 bake 10 minutes.
  • 4 set aside.
  • 5 decrease oven temperature to 330 degrees f.
  • 6 combine brown sugar and cornstarch in large bowl and mix, pressing out any lumps.
  • 7 beat in eggs, one at a time.
  • 8 stir in cream, lemon juice and vanilla.
  • 9 blend in melted butter.
  • 10 pour filling into pie shell.
  • 11 bake until puffed and brown, 50-60 minutes.
  • 12 cool to room temperature before serving.
