Carrots In Cumin-mustard Sauce

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 11 ounces carrots, whole or 10 ounces carrots, ready-cut sliced, about 2 cups
  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons coarse grain mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

Recipe

  • 1 fill steamer with water and bring to a boil.
  • 2 if using whole carrots, peel and slice them.
  • 3 place carrots in steamer over boiling water and steam about 7 minutes.
  • 4 combine butter, lemon juice, mustard, and cumin in serving dish and mix well.
  • 5 when carrots are tender, drain and place in serving dish with butter mixture.
  • 6 toss well to coat.
  • 7 serve immediately.
